Blessings
Hearing Luke tell Lucy how excited he is to take her to the Daddy/Daughter dance tomorrow night!
Family/Friend camping trips.
Birthday celebrations.
Homemade musical instruments. Zac can turn anything into a drum.
Seeing Lucy already rocking her babies and giving them kisses while saying "Baby, baby".
Excitement of counting down the last days before our Mom/Sisters trip to San Francisco!
Getting a surprise motherload of cleaning supplies from my Mom who said that nobody likes to buy these kinds of things so here ya go! Thanks Mom! Now I can really work on being the Proverbs 31 Woman. ;)
1. One important lesson I want to remember from this week's reading would be: Fear the Lord! Fill myself with Him so that His light shines through me.
2. What is your beauty secret? What ways are you beautiful on the inside? Didn't we just read about being humble yesterday? The more I grow in my relationship with Him the more beautiful He makes me on the inside. Any beauty I have comes from Him. I'm so thankful for the changes He has made in me and can see that I am much more "beautiful" than I once was.
3. I am going to be more intentional by: Wanting more of Him. Praying, reading, and talking about Jesus more. Specifically with Zac and Lucy.
Praise
Zac's nightly routine has drastically improved! Thank you for praying for us. Thank you God for the improvement we have seen this week!
Prayer
For a great trip next week with my Mom and sisters (and 2 baby girls). We leave for San Francisco on Wednesday and return Sunday. Pray for safe travels and that Jesus is present and not forgotten or at the back of our minds while we are having fun.
From the blog HERE...
We tend to fear things that are negative, but this fear is a good thing. It is a fear of someone who is all-powerful, perfectly just, all knowing, and at the same time perfectly good, righteous and loving. It reminds me of a scene in the book “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” where the children ask the beavers if Aslan is safe. They respond by saying, “Safe? No, he is not safe, but he is good.” We do not fear God as if he is going to needlessly hurt us, betray us, or leave us in our hour of need. We do not fear God’s punishment against sin, for he has punished The Son for our sins. We fear God with a trembling awe that doesn’t give way to uncertainty or fright, but rather produces in us wisdom, love, and action.
Action
Fearing the Lord will lead to action. For example, it will bring a greater joy and purpose to our daily tasks knowing that God has prepared us for our circumstances, and will make all things in our life work for our good. Fearing God moves us to not waste what he gives us, whether small, mundane, difficult, easy, or delightful.
Ultimately we will only grow in a godly fear of the Lord the more intimately we know him and understand ourselves. He is holy, just, good, patient, and forgiving, while we are sinful, rebellious, selfish, and in need of mercy. Therefore:
Serve the LORD with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
