Months ago my sister, Mandy, suggested a girls trip to San Francisco. I thought it sounded great, but knew I couldn’t afford to go and suggested a local girls weekend. I am so thankful that my sisters and Mom blessed me with the trip to San Fran! We had so much fun! Thank you again so much for this trip! I had so much fun with you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
It didn’t seem real until about the week before we left and Mandy started texting us all pictures of San Francisco and got us all pumped up!
Lucy and I met my Mom at her house, then picked Ashley up in Nephi. We said goodbye to Avrie and Kevin and were on the road! We chose Arby’s for lunch in Beaver and pulled into the parking lot and it had changed to Henny Penny Chicken. I’m not a huge fried chicken fan, but this chicken was so good! So good, we even had to get a picture with the chicken himself. Lucy doesn’t look impressed. That’s only because she didn’t get to taste the chicken goodness.
We stopped at Walmart in Cedar City and Lucy got her first kiddie carousel ride. She clearly was not a fan.
Checking in to our hotel in Vegas!
Luce loved all the lights in the casino. She still often points with her whole hand.
Every time she got to play with my phone she would say “Da” (Dad).
She thought her bed was pretty cool.
Lucy found a fun friend in the mirror. She was so funny sticking her tongue out, giving her fives, blowing her kisses, watching her “friend’s” finger follow hers. She would just look at her and smile. It was so cute.
Aunt Ashley picked out a toy for Lucy on our way down. Tilly was a fan of the fun book too!
We had a fun dinner at the casino. We played Keno while we ate and while I lost $2, Ashley and Mom won a few bucks. It was also fun to see my mom being so silly and on a super high. She was being so funny and if we didn’t know better we would have thought she snuck a drink or two or three. I just kept thinking she must be on this natural high being excited that she gets to spend the week with all her girls. I pray that my kids want to spend time with me when they are grown and have kids of their own. It made my heart happy! I’m so excited to have a daughter, because I love the relationship I have with my Mom!
