Week 2 Day 1

Here are some of the things that I liked from the blogs today.  I thought I'd copy the challenge for Week 2 here, so that you can keep the challenge in mind yourselves throughout the week.  By the way, if you haven't followed the blogs, I just want to let you know that the Monday videos the girls post are very encouraging.  You can watch this weeks video HERE.
Week 2 Challenge:
This week focus on being a woman of noble character…a woman that your husband can take full confidence in! Remember: You and God are an amazing team together! Keep your eyes on Jesus, pray and ask Him to help you be the woman He created YOU to be! Ask Him for help……we can never become who He has created us to be without it! Pray and then ACT……..act upon what He shows you!:)
Are there any areas where your husband may not fully trust you?

Does your husband trust your spending, your training of the children, your ability to run the home, your words that you speak about him when he is not in the room, your faithfulness to him in regards to flirting with other men, your emotions and temper, and the choices you make?  (Emotions and temper are my struggle.  I tend to get all defensive, when Luke is simply trying to suggest an improvement.  And he does it nicely!  My sin is that I take it as I'm screwing up in a huge way and feel bad for not doing it right the first time.  My emotions and temper make a simple situation a disaster.  Totally unfair!)

This was actually from a blog post over the weekend.  You can see the full post by clicking HERE.

And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask.
All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character.
Ruth 3:11

In Ruth we see the high principles of Proverbs 31 lived out in real life. In short, Ruth loved God, was hardworking, and cared for her family. She was no superwoman. I am sure that she felt despair or fear and maybe even questioned God during her dark times (remember that her father-in-law, brother-in-law and husband died).  I bet there were days when she felt overwhelmed and there might have been some neighbors who annoyed her.  She had a sinful heart just like everyone else. You should find great comfort in this because despite the fact that she needed a Savior just like you and me, she still was called “a woman of noble character.”

And here you have my SOAP Journal for today.
S- Proverbs 31:10 "A wife of noble character who can find?  She is worth far more than rubies."
Proverbs 12:4 "A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones."
O- A wife of noble character is not easy to find.  She is a prize for her husband.  However, a disgraceful wife is like sickness in his bones and will bring him down.
A- I need to be of noble character and change my ways to be a Proverbs 31 woman to lift my husband up.  To not be like decay in his bones and bring him down.
P- Lord, I pray that you will continue to change me and that with your help I will become of noble character.  I pray that I will be the wife my husband deserves.  He deserves more than rubies.  I pray that all that I do for him will lift him up and not be like decay in his bones.  Change my heart that is full of sin!  Thank you for hearing my prayer.  Amen.
God gave us his word and in it he gave us Proverbs 31. It wouldn't be in the Bible if it wasn't important.  Remember that because you are Christ’s you have his power and therefore the ability to accomplish more than you can imagine.
