Our flight left at 9:20 Thursday morning. We got there two hours early. My mom and Mandy dropped me, Ashley, and the two babies off and went to park one of our cars at MGM for free parking and parked the other car in long term parking. After they dropped us off, we soon realized that we were in the wrong terminal! With 2 babies, a stroller, 2 car seats and two suitcases! We found out we’d have to take a shuttle bus clear across the airport. They had added a new terminal and moved things around since the last time Mandy had flown. We were a little stressed wondering how we were going to haul all our stuff around the airport and make it in time. Here’s Lucy with our load.
Aunt Ashley taking care of Tilly while we waited for Mom and Mandy to get back. Once we made it to the right spot, we had plenty of time and realized we would have just been sitting there waiting for them to get back anyway. We just got a little adventure instead of sitting around.
Excited for their first plane rides!
Lucy loved the window seat! We got lucky and had an empty seat next to us! Lucy and I took the window and Ashley was next to us with an empty seat on the aisle. It was nice to know if we had an upset baby, nobody would have to sit by her. Thankfully she (and Tilly across the aisle) was great on the plane!
A quick picture before the seat was filled.
Luce looked out the window and was entertained with the buttons on the TV’s and seats. She had a bottle and just as I thought she was asleep she was ready to play some more. She finally fell asleep for the last maybe half hour of the ride.
Mandy, I don’t know why I thought this picture was funny. Look how happy you are.
Picking up the car seats from baggage claim.
Lucy was checking out all the sights on our cab ride to the hotel.
And blowing lots of kisses to us in the back seat.
We dropped all our luggage of in our room, fed the babies, and were excited to go play!
Note to anyone who is considering a double stroller in San Fran: Don’t take a side by side stroller! It was a pain to push through the crowds of tourists. However, we are sure that if we would have put a tip jar on the front of the stroller we could have paid for our trip! Everyone was stopping and taking pictures of “the twins” the whole trip. Like walking and talking and then coming to a complete stop mid-sentence to take in the cuteness of these two. There are not many babies in this city. They were like celebrities. We were laughing at all the twin comments, because they look nothing alike. Just cute cousins 5 months apart that look about the same size.
“As soon as she’s not paying attention, I’m going to get her cookie”.
First lunch at Lou’s. Clam chowder bread bowl for me. Delicious!
These two LOVED the sourdough bread all weekend. It was a great chew toy and entertained them forever.
I loved walking down the street watching the street performers. Here are the girls watching the acrobats. This show was so funny.
I love this picture of Mandy watching the sea lions on Fisherman’s Wharf. She’s in her happy place.
Alcatraz in the background. I didn’t realize how close everything was in San Francisco. A little to the left (not in the picture) is the Golden Gate bridge.
You can’t really tell in the picture how steep this road is. At the top of the street is the famous crookedest street in the world, Lombard Street. We pushed the stroller up this monster of a hill and lived to tell about it.
View of the street from the bottom.
Ashley and I took the stairs up the street. The houses were beautiful.
Beautiful view from the top of the street.
And back down the steep hills.
Lucy has her eye on my delicious Ghirardelli shake waiting for another taste!
I don’t know how we were all able to resist buying Lucy every stuffed animal we saw. She would yell “Baby!” every time she saw one and when Aunt Ash let her hold them she would give them the sweetest cuddles. She loved all the “babies” and didn’t even get upset when we put them back!
We found a little sandy beach along the water and it was definitely Lucy’s favorite part of the trip! She LOVED playing in the sand. It’s hard to see, but there were tons of swimmers in the water. Crazy! It was chilly!
Don’t get mad at me for posting this. I love it! Total happiness.
She just kept throwing the sand and letting it run through her fingers. She was shivering, but every time I would try to hold her to warm her up she would scream. She did not want to leave her beach. I don’t blame her. I love the beach too!
Going to dinner on Fisherman’s Wharf overlooking the Bay.
Beautiful view with our dinner! Except the giant bird poop on the window.
This picture is so dark, but Mom’s face kills me! What was she laughing at?
I love these pictures with the city lights behind us in these next few.
These two were the best little travelers! They were great in the stroller walking around all day and so happy to stretch and play at the hotel before bed. They were the best little buddies!
And I’m so happy I decided to bring Lucy’s baby. She and Tilly both loved playing with her all weekend.

So, I wrote a big long comment and it wouldn't let me submit it so I'm trying again. Different comment this time. Here's what I learned on this trip:
1. I have the BEST daughters in the world--no universe!!
2. Tilly and Lucy are the bestest, cutest little travelers EVER!
3. While pony tails keep the hair out of your eyes, they do NOT make for cute pictures! Ugh!
4. Glasses on the end or your nose are NOT sexy!
5. Pictures make it so much fun to relive the trip!
6. It does an old lady good to have her picture taken with a handsome stranger! haha
7. Giggling is great!
8. You can never have too many girls weekends!
9. Chocolate is wonderful! OK....food in general is wonderful! Especially when eaten with people you love surrounded by beautiful scenery!
10. It's fun to make happy memories!
