Week 2 Day 2
S- Proverbs 18:22 "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord."
Proverbs 19:14 "Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."
O- God has given me to Luke as a gift. What a privilege for me to be used as a gift straight from God to Luke! I am not just an object passed on to him.
A- I am a gift to Luke and want Luke to see me as a gift. As something that is good. I need to do my part in blessing him and not making things difficult for him. As his spouse I want to serve him.
P- Dear God, please help me to be a blessing to Luke and not a burden. Please help me to do all things without complaining. Help me to see my role as a blessing and privilege to serve him. And I also pray for these same things for Lucy as a wife in the future, as well as Zac's future wife. Amen!
Week 2 Day 3
S- Proverbs 31:11 "Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value."
Proverbs 11:28 "Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf."
Proverbs 28:26 "Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe."
O- When we place our trust in God and nothing else he will keep us safe and we will thrive. As a wife that my husband has full confidence in I can be more valuable than all the riches in the world.
A- I need to put my full trust in God, not in myself. I shouldn't spend my time thinking about earning more money and just trust that God will provide as he promises. "He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever." Psalm 111:5. I want my husband to have full confidence in me in all areas of life. From the reading, the area I see myself struggling most is with my emotions. I need to be more self controlled. "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry," James 1:19.
P- Thank you God for your promises! Specifically for your promise that you will provide. You have shown me this over and over. Thank you! Please help me to fix my eyes on you and trust in you completely and not in anything else. Help me to put you first. I pray that you would help me to be self controlled with my emotions and not let myself be so quick to become angry! Thank you for loving me regardless. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"You see, I wonder if many of you, like me, are often guilty of living double lives. While we pray and plead with our sons to one day chase after – and our daughters to one day become – wives of noble character, we often live quite another version of that woman in front of them.
Funny how we can always seem to pull off a cheery smile and a kind word to an acquaintance in the church lobby, yet we’re quick to be impatient and critical of the ones we love the most in the car on the way home. We’re getting good at spending hours creating impressive five course meals to deliver to other families in need, only to rush home, exhausted and grumpy, with barely enough energy to warm up leftovers for our own husbands and children. Some of us busy ourselves, generously serving the church and our communities, volunteering our time to hosts of worthy causes, all the while neglecting the ministry God has given us right in our very own homes."
Week 2 Day 4
S- Proverbs 16:20 "Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord."
Proverbs 28:25 "The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper."
Proverbs 29:25 "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe."
O- Again, God is showing me He will bless me if I trust Him. I don't need to fear man.
A- I need to trust God! I need to live my life for Him and not for man. He is the one who provides. All good things come from Him. He promises that He will bless me for trusting Him.
P- Dear God, please help me to be aware when I am not putting you first. Show me when I am living my life to impress anyone but you. Please don't let me worry about impressing people or doing things for them when it is against what you want from me. Please help me to be an example of you. Help me to be a light to those who don't know you. Thank you for making me different. Amen.
