Blessings
For God giving me life.
For showing me that I am a sinner and don't deserve life.
For showing me that there is nothing I can do to pay the price for my sin on my own.
For His grace.
For Him coming to earth as a man and living a perfect life.
For His death on the cross that paid the price for my sin.
For Him making it so simple.
That He is the ONLY way.
For my salvation.
"This world is all the hell that ever a true Christian is to endure, and it is all the heaven that unbelievers shall ever enjoy." Jonathan Edwards
Reflection
I have to share how my brain was working this week. I post my questions the night before, so they are waiting in everyone’s email the following morning. After posting the questions I sent everyone the following 2 emails on Friday.
#1- By the way, I just now realized I posted Friday's questions and it's only Thursday. Feels like the weekend with my sis in town! Party all week!
#2- Oh WOW! I am LOSING it! Thanks Lorie, for clearing things up! hahaha I can't believe I doubted myself and was wrong! Silly! I'm dying over here in my fogged brain!
1. One important lesson I want to remember from this week's reading would be: I'm wondering if I'll remember this week at all! I couldn't even remember the day of the week! ;) To be diligent. To seek God first in all things!
2. Is your family your 1st priority? If not, what changes do you need to make? A friend shared something that really stood out to me this week. She said that so many people seek "family" for joy, but true joy is found in Jesus! My family brings me so much joy! I love my kids so much! But really, what I see in them is a clear view of how Jesus sees me. My kids sin! It doesn't matter how little they are! We are sinners in our mother's wombs! And I love them no matter what, as Jesus loves me NO MATTER WHAT! My kids sin and I love them. I am a sinner and Jesus loves me! How much more Jesus loves blows my mind! As I put my kids to bed I remind them that "Jesus loves us most" every night. And every night I can hardly believe it. BUT HE DOES! HE LOVES US MORE! It is hard not to seek our family for joy. But pure joy is only found in Jesus. He is holy! He is perfect! We are so far from it and even our kids are too! My family is my second priority, only to be trumped by Jesus!
3. I am going to be more intentional by: Focusing on placing my joy in Jesus first and my family second and everything else after that! God, Luke, Kids!
And now let's see if I can keep my days straight this coming week! Ready, Go!
