Week 7 Blessings, Reflection and Prayer

Blessings

I am blessed!
That Jesus saved me!
For His grace when I am undeserving.  ALWAYS!
Forgiveness.
For the people He has placed in my life that encourage me and lead by example.  All of you!
Family.
That I get to see my kids grow and learn and love each other more and more every day.
For God's love that is unconditional.
That He is love.
That we love because He loved us first.
For my relationship with Him that is constantly improving.
That I am able to pray and read my Bible anytime, anywhere.
For opportunities to share God's goodness.

Reflection

1.  One important lesson I want to remember from this weeks reading would be:  Be prepared in all things.
2.  What are some preparations you can make to help prepare your family for "weather changes?"  Fill my mind with God's word.  Read my Bible.  Memorize verses.  Be organized.  Plan ahead.
3.  Are you finding time for yourself?  If you're not, look for some ways that you can in the coming weeks.  Pray and ask God to help you... it's important to our families that we find time to refill and invest in ourselves as well!  I've gotten into a pretty good routine getting both kids down for a nap that at least overlaps at some point so I can have some me time, whether I need to relax or get something done uninterrupted.  The kids also go to bed usually by 8 and that is my wind down time.
4.  I am going to be more intentional by:  Making lists.  I feel like I said this before and I guess that's not so much my problem as it is checking it off!  I get distracted by other things and my lists sits there waiting to be crossed off!  God, please help me to be focused!

Prayer

Praise that the fire behind our house did not spread our direction tonight.  We were only a mile outside the evacuation line.  After seeing how fast the fires spread near my hometown this week evacuating the entire town of Fairview and then the Colorado fire raging through the city, I was quick to have all of our important items and photos ready to go just in case.

Pray for those that have lost homes and animals and cherished items.  Bring them all comfort.

Pray for no more fires!

Pray for the firefighters!  Especially Lord, I pray for Mary Beth's husband, James.  Please keep him and all the firefighters working to keep everyone else safe.  I pray that they aren't overworked to the point of making mistakes.  Please keep them close!

We had some ladies mentioning that they were struggling with being the perfect women this week.  This is an email I had sent to the group to encourage them that it is not about being perfect, but improving ourselves.

I hope nobody feels insufficient as a woman going through this study.  None of us are perfect, but it is important to improve ourselves to be more like Jesus.  I look at this study as a way to improve myself.  I have definitely been shown through this study areas I need to work on.  I am encouraged everyday by all of your suggestions and examples of what each of you do in the different areas we have studied.  I can see that we all have our strengths and am so happy that we have all shown areas where we struggle.  The important part is that God is changing us and molding us into the women He wants us to be.  We are all unique women of God and no matter our strengths and struggles we are His children and he loves us unconditionally.

I like the idea of asking our husbands what areas we could improve that would be most important to him.  I also love that by studying the Proverbs 31 woman we get to, in a way, "surprise" our husbands by improving in areas he doesn't necessarily expect.  I don't strive to be the "perfect woman" because I know I will always fail.  Only Jesus is perfect.  I want to be better for Him.  All for His glory.  To please Him and nobody else!  And the bonus of pleasing God is that it will bless my family too!

Praying for each of you!
