First Fort

Zac is so tough.  He loves carrying his big cars around.  He does big tough grunts as he’s carrying them.DSCN1088-1

I had a surprise fort built for him when he woke up from his nap.  He didn’t really like that he had to duck to get to his toys.DSCN1097DSCN1098-1

Lucy loves playing in her bouncer!DSCN1100

Happy as can be.  Her toes barely even reach the ground!

Zac thinks it’s fun to shake the bouncer while she’s in it.  We had to teach him to be softer with the shaking, even though Lucy seemed to think it was fun just because he was playing with her.DSCN1108-1DSCN1111-1DSCN1118DSCN1119DSCN1120

I think dad liked the fort more than Zac.DSCN1130DSCN1134-1

Yep, he’s in there all alone.DSCN1137DSCN1144

Shoveling

We were still trying to figure out what to do about the bed situation.  In the meantime, I kept a close eye on him.  And got some sweet sleeping pictures.DSCN1070

“Snow!”  DSCN1072

This was the first time Zac got to wear his snow boots.  It was also the first time he walked or touched/played in the snow.  Notice how it’s a sunny paradise across the street. DSCN1073-1DSCN1075-1

Zac got the broom to help me.DSCN1077-2DSCN1078

He thought it was so funny when I threw the snow off the shovel.

Long Day!

The day after Zac climbed on the dining chairs, I went to get him out of bed and found him like this!DSCN1029

STANDING ON HIS CHANGING TABLE!  When I found him he was all proud and happy.  I put him up there for a picture and he was so mad and probably confused because I told him that was a no and then put him on there.  My mistake.  You can see that he loves to throw all of his blankets and pillows and bears out of his bed when he’s awake. I was all worried about him doing it again during his nap, so I spied on him until he fell asleep.  He kept taking his favorite blanket of by the changing table and laying his head on the edge standing up.  I could just imagine him thinking about climbing up there again.DSCN1031-1DSCN1033DSCN1034DSCN1035

Here’s a video I snuck of him playing.  He falls down towards the end and stayed down until he fell asleep.

My whole day was thrown off worrying about him climbing back up there. It was a day that Luke was gone all day and not home until late that night, so I couldn’t switch beds or turn the crib into a toddler bed without him.  Zac was a stinker all day.  He could probably sense my stress!  I got out a set of puzzles I stashed after Christmas.  He was excited for a new toy and entertained til bedtime.  He loved the wire rack that holds the puzzles much better than the actual puzzles.

He loves to give kisses through things (like the neck hole while putting a shirt on, or between the stair rails).  I love his kisses!DSCN1054-1

An update on the bed.  He didn’t ever try to climb out of the crib again.  He’s great about not repeating the same thing over after learning it is a no.  We have just switched him to a toddler bed now.  It is now the end of March and he climbed out February 1st.
