This afternoon while I was cleaning the kitchen, Zac and Lucy were in the front room playing their drums. I could hear Zac yelling "fire" multiple times. I figured he was role playing with his fire truck, then thought to myself why is he saying fire while drumming. I went for a closer look and heard the rest of what he was saying. He was belting one of Steele Croswhite's songs and knew all of the words. "Set my heart on fire so that I can burn for you. Set my heart on fire... fire for you, fire for you." He has had no interest in learning the words to songs or nursery rhymes. He knows "Ring Around the Rosies" and just yesterday sang through the entire alphabet. Then he went and pulled this out of nowhere. And it was a Jesus song! My heart was a big pile of mush as I sat listening with tears in my eyes! God, I pray his and Lucy's hearts will be on fire for you!
And Lucy did her first poop on the potty today! We potty trained Zac at 18 months by our surprise and Lucy is taking his lead. She is 17 months and loves the potty! Now I just need to get on board and get serious about training!
