S- Colossians 1:19-20 "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."
O- Jesus is God! Colossians 2:9 "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form," I have peace through His blood that was shed on the cross.
A- Jesus died for me! His blood was shed because of my sins. Without this I could not have life after death. I deserve hell and without His perfect plan that would be my destiny. How big is His love for me?!
P- Thank you God for your perfect plan. For knowing that I would fall short in so many ways. Thank you for coming to Earth as a man and living a perfect life, because I could not. Thank you for your blood that was shed for me. Thank you for saving me and for being the Way to heaven. Thank you for your love! Thank you that you are love! We love because you first loved us! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
Here is another post from one of the girls in the group that I just loved! I have bolded my favorite parts of her prayer!
S: For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.
O: (1) Christ was human and divine. Christ was God! Great verse to help non-believers understand this concept! (2) Not everyone is saved. Each of us must choose to trust and believe in Christ. It is only through Christ that we are reconciled with God, forgiven, and able to have an intimate relationship with God. (3) When we have Christ we have all of God in human form inside of us! AMEN!
A: (1) Who do I know that hasn't yet chosen Christ? A sweet little boy who has become a dear friend of my son’s. (2) What is my next step to share this GOOD NEWS with them? He shared his excitement over getting a "Bible....it's not Christian though....it is about Buddha. (3) Are there any areas in my life that distance me from God? (yes, my thoughts of worry as of late). May I reconcile my thought-life to God, through Christ, and keep my eyes in His Truth......striving to replace any thought from the enemy with a reminder of God's Promises and Truth!
P: Oh, Lord, THANK YOU for showing me how my thoughts have reflected worry and bondage lately, more than reflecting You and Your light, freedom, forgiveness and Power. I am so quick as a first-time mama to strum up reasons for worry over my boys. THANK YOU, LORD, that You desire my salvation as well as desire an intimate relationship with me. THANK YOU that You want me to live in Your Divine freedom in Heaven, but also right here, right now, where I stand today. THANK YOU for providing a way for both soul salvation and a life of freedom here on earth, through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I release my thoughts to You, oh Lord, and ask You to help me focus on Your Promises and Truth. My opportunities to share Your Great News is less frequent, now that I stay at home with my boys, but I pray You allow me to shine Your light right where I stand. Today and everyday. AMEN.
