Memory Madness

At church, we have started doing Memory Madness as a family.  We memorize one verse per week for 10 weeks and then recite all 10 verses at the end for the Mad Smash.
Zac isn’t speaking in complete sentences yet, but we figured why not start now and he can at least get some practice.
Some weeks he repeats just one word of the verse.  Some none.  And some a few words!  He especially likes to repeat the number of the verse.
Here he is saying Psalm 73:28 “It is good to be near God!”  For this verse he repeats the 8 of “28” and shouts “God!”

I was surprised one day when he answered the question “What did Jesus do?”.  We ask him this every night at bed time and he always just looks at us with excitement.  We say, “What did Jesus do?”  and tell him, “He died on the cross for our sins.”  Today I asked him and he said, “Cross.  Sins.”  And a minute later said, “Died.”  I thought he was saying, “Dad” because Dad is the one who asks at night.  Then, he started saying “Died.  Cross.  Sins!”
