We turned our soft cotton balls into hard cotton balls! I got the idea HERE.
What You Need
1 cup flour
1 cup water
Cotton Balls
Food Coloring
What You Do
1. Mix the water and flour
I added a little extra water because it was pretty thick.
2. Pour mixture into separate bowls (If you're going to make different colors).
3. Add food coloring OR use as is. (You can paint them after they are baked)
4. Dip your cotton balls into the mixture. Fully coat them!
Zac was not a fan of the dipping process. He quickly asked to wash his hands and let me do the dipping.
5. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Note: If you place the cotton balls close together in the form of a letter (or shape), they will stick together and come out as one piece.
5. Bake for 45 minutes-an hour at 300 degrees.
Checking out his hard cotton balls. The cool part is that they are still as light as a cotton ball.
Telling me that they are hard.
We later had fun stepping on them to break them open and feeling that the cotton was still soft inside!
