I wanted to document a funny thing that happened on our first day of school. We start our school day with reading from the kids’ children’s Bible. We have always read their Bible before bed as part of our nightly routine, but it gets crazy with the kids getting all of their energy out running around the bedroom while Daddy reads to them. Zac will sneak a peak at the pictures now and then, but mostly they are playing and not paying much attention (although we know they are learning and are getting into a good routine of reading their Bible each day). Some friends had told me that they read their Bibles to their kids at breakfast and “Fill them up on God’s word”. GREAT IDEA! As they are finishing their breakfast, I pull out their Bible and they get so excited and can’t run around because they are in their high chairs! I love that they remember what we read yesterday. Zac’s favorite was reading about Baby Jesus being born.
He was having toast for breakfast. He likes to take bites and tell me what his food looks like. Usually, it’s a motorcycle or a truck. My favorite this time was that after he took a few bites, he looked at his toast and yelled, “Baby Jesus!” And then he ate him. haha
Our first week of school we learned the letter “A” and “Soft and Hard”. Today we went on a “Rock Walk” to find some hard rocks. It was garbage day and Zac loves to watch the garbage man dump the trash. We usually watch from the window and he yells, “Thank you for getting our garbage!” He had fun watching from his own big rock.
Feeling that the rock is indeed “hard”.
After our stop in the pile of rocks, his bucket got too heavy for him to carry while he walked.
