School was starting all around us and Luke asked, “When does school start for Zac and Lucy?“ We started the first week of September once our summer slowed down a bit. Luke even surprised us with some new school supplies! Zac has a super love for letters and recognizes the entire alphabet, upper and lower case and has even started sounding out some letters. And he just turned 2 a month ago! He knows a stop sign says “STOP”, but surprised us the other day when we saw the word “STOP” in the parking lot and he yelled “STOP!” He recognized the letters and read “STOP!” My plan is to focus on one letter a week and add a few things here and there.
Today we learned about soft using cotton balls.
He got to play with them and we stacked them and made a snowman. We made a big ball and he smashed it.
I drew an "A" on paper and he traced the letter "A" with his finger.
He placed the cotton on the letter.
He learned that we don't eat cotton balls, although he thought it was HILARIOUS!
Then he got to glue the cotton balls onto the letter "A".
His first day of school was a success! He loved it!

Fun! You're a great mother. It's taken us 9 months to finish the alphabet with geddy, and he still struggles - oh well, each kid has their own strengths right? The 9 mos. part is my fault - it's hard to keep a routine going!
I had no idea cotton was so funny!! hahaha He cracks me up! That laugh is the best sound in the world! Zac and Lucy are so lucky to have you for their Mommy!! Thanks for making me smile! Love you!!
oh this is so cute! I love love this idea. I have wanted to do something like this for scar but have no idea where to start.
