Week 4 Wednesday

S- Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

O- I've heard these verses many times, but today this is what stands out.  "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything,"  I also liked how the NIRV is read, "God’s peace can never be completely understood."

A- Is my peace in God evident to others?  Am I gentle or anxious?  I have peace that God is near.  That I can pray to God in thanks and share my requests.  Am I always trusting Him completely?  He says that He will guard my heart and mind!  His peace can never be completely understood.  This reminds me of Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."  I have faith even though I can never fully understand!

P- Dear God, I rejoice in you!  Thank you that you are near.  Thank you that I can pray whatever is on my heart, whether it is thanks to you, requests that are on my heart, or when I am hurt or angry even with you.  Thank you for guarding my heart and mind.  Thank you for peace and hope in you even when I don't understand, I trust you completely.  I pray that my peace would be evident in my gentleness.  Please help me to not be anxious.  Thank you for these verses today!  In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
