Week 3 Christmas Activities

The kids from our small group had a Birthday Party for Jesus!  I had the big banner on my garage door that said, "Happy Birthday Jesus!"  I saw a few people stop in front of the house to take pictures!  Yay Jesus!  We let the kids frost a cupcake, sang "Happy Birthday", had lots of balloons to play with, and they each brought a gift to donate.  I'll be dropping them off at the shelter tomorrow!  The other banner is hanging on my wall.  Zac thinks I hung pizza on the wall.

I was so excited one morning to make a snowman with the kids in the fresh snow! They stood at the door begging to go in the whole time I made the snowman. Zac continued to tell me it was a scary snowman. According to the photo, I think Sis agreed!

We visited my Grandma (Dad's Mom) before our annual Christmas party. Her Christmas tree is always my favorite. It's a real tree and always is quite Charlie Brownish. I'm sure my uncle goes and cuts one down for her every year. It also has the cutest felt ornaments my mom made for her when I was a little girl.

When I was making plates of sugar cookies for our neighbors. I turned to get lunch ready. 10 seconds later I hear Zac saying, "Mmmmm, cupcake!" Frosting = cupcake. Busted! He was not happy he had to wait til after lunch for a cookie!

Our craft we made (not exactly a Christmas craft). Jesus is the lion and the lamb. We later stapled the faces together so it is a lion on one side and lamb on the other.

We went to a live Nativity. They had real animals, including a real live camel! As we left Zac was most interested in the sleeping baby (Jesus) and kept saying "Shhh, baby sleeping."

Zac got to go up and hear the Christmas Story during the children’s program at church for the first time this year!
