Lucy helping me make cookies.
We took our cookies to the fire station a block from our home. Zac was so excited when the fireman took him in to see the big fire trucks. He loved it! We may have gotten the best deal out of that trip. Firemen got cookies, Zac got up close and personal with the trucks!
My sister came to town from Southern Utah, so my mom and other sister all came to Salt Lake for a few days. We spent some time downtown one night, which included seeing the lights and a carriage ride! We usually meet at Little America (my mom and sisters stayed there one night this year). The picture of the 5 cousins is in front of the beautiful trees in their lobby. It's our photo op spot each year.
The next day we went to Jou Jou, the interactive toy store at Grand America.
We went to Zoolights one night. It was a lot of fun. Lucy thought she needed to walk the entire time. She is the complete opposite of her big brother who still loves the stroller or wants to be carried.
I didn't get pictures of this, but wanted to share. When we went downtown I wanted to take some snacks to handout. I remember there always being homeless people on the street as we're walking around. So, I bought granola bars and tied a candy cane with a poem to hand out. I didn't see anyone the night we were looking at lights. I also took lots of candy canes with the poem to pass out. We gave those to our waiter and carriage drivers. I took the bag of snacks with me the next day. I saw 2 homeless people and both refused the treat! I was so surprised! I basically begged the one lady to take it and she did and said thank you when Zac smiled at her.
