My Mother’s Day was started early with a surprise lunch date with my boys on Friday. Luke left work early and surprised me at home saying we were going to lunch. We went to Chili’s.
Saturday, Zac gave me this cute hat.
Our poor little guy got sick and we did lots of resting or at least trying to. He couldn’t sleep and wouldn’t eat. We felt so bad for him. All the pictures are from my phone, since we were just laying around in our jammies. I tried to prop him up in the stroller for a nap. It only worked once. He only wanted to lay on me to sleep.
My mom stopped by and brought us dinner.
On Mother’s Day, Zac was up at 5:30 screaming. We took him on a drive to get him to sleep, and so our neighbors could get some sleep too. We ended up taking him to the doctor and were relieved his ears weren’t infected and he didn’t have any gunk in his lungs. It was just a virus. A nasty one that lasted 2 weeks! Luke and I both got it a week after Zac. Luke ended up with a sinus infection. It was not fun! Me and Zac spent 2 weeks sleeping on the couch. Not much sleeping was actually done, well at least not long stretches of sleep like we would have liked.
Sunday, I got my Mother’s Day card. I love how it said my name on the front just like Zac says it. I was spoiled with lots of cuddles and I saw our baby girl moving around just by looking at my belly for the first time on Mother’s Day!
Our “bed”. I slid the chair over for a little extra room. Zac loved climbing around in it and holding on to the side bouncing, which is why it’s a blurry picture.
He loves sleeping with our heads together. Somehow, it just calms him right down.
He got to take lots of vapor baths. We love the Johnson’s Vapor Bubble Bath to clear him up for awhile.
