My birthday started the night before with blue and pink flowers from Zac and Lucy! My mom also surprised me and stopped by with balloons and a card!
Zac was so excited in the morning when he saw the balloons waiting for him!
We met Jessica at the park for a minute to drop off some hole punches I had borrowed for a craft.
Crazy swing hair. This boy loves to swing! He was so cute just giggling the whole time.
Not so sure about the slide yet, plus they were all so hot! This is the only one that was partially shaded, besides the tube slides. I was not about to get my giant belly stuck in one of those!
Besides going to the park for a minute, Zac and I spent most of the day at home hanging out. I dropped him off at Grandma Kelli’s to go get a pedicure before my date with Luke to the movie. We went to see Harry Potter. 40 minutes in to the movie, I had had my 5th contraction. They say to call the doctor if you’ve had more than 4 in an hour. I had Braxton Hicks constantly with Zac, but this was more than normal this time around. Luke told me to go out and call. The on call doctor said to just take it easy and get off my feet and drink lots of water in case I was dehydrated. I went back in and watched a little more of the show. The contractions just kept going and were getting closer and closer. I was timing them now and they were between 3 and 7 minutes apart. We decided to leave and try taking a bath. I called the doctor again on the way back and she said if they don’t slow down to go in. By 8:00 they were still there and closer to 3-4 minutes apart. They hadn’t been painful at all. Luke and his Dad were both worried and told me I was going in. So off to Labor and Delivery we went. I was just short of 32 weeks.
We got there and got all hooked up to the monitors to watch babies heart rate and my contractions. They were definitely there. I never thought I was having a baby that night. Luke said he kept thinking that our kids weren’t even going to be a year apart. ha At one point the nurse had said that she would let the doctor know that my contractions were 3 minutes apart and see what she wanted to do. In my head that meant that they would decide how to stop the contractions. Apparently, Luke thought that meant we were having a baby. I had drank so much water that I had to pee so bad! They told me I couldn’t go until they did some tests. They’re lucky I didn’t pee on the bed! They did some tests and we waited for the lab results. They did one that tests a certain fluid that is released when you are in labor. She said if it comes back positive that it can mean a lot of things, but negative usually means no baby for a couple of weeks. It came back negative! Phew! She also checked me and said I was dilated to a 1 already. I was still having contractions, but not real consistent. She told me to just take it easy and if it gets worse to come back. We decided to just stay at Luke’s Mom and Dad’s for the night. I ended up leaving at about 1:30 because the neighbors dog was barking nonstop and I couldn’t sleep through it. Then, when I got home the sprinklers in our back yard/patio were on. Lucky me got to run through the sprinklers at 2:00 in the morning!
Little Lucy made my birthday extra exciting. She thought it was such a good birthday that she would try to make it hers too. Sorry Sis, it’s not time yet! You need to stay put for at least 5 more weeks!
I’m not sure what caused the contractions, but they have stopped for the most part. I still get the occasional Braxton Hicks, but nothing consistent or worth worrying about. Praise God for keeping her in my belly for now! As much as we want to meet her, now is not the time!

Silly girl! I guess she just wanted to celebrate with you. But I'm glad she didn't make here grand appearance! Just a few more weeks!
