Laying in her favorite spot. Dad’s side of the bed. Sometimes she gets to go back to sleep by me after she eats and Dad has gone to work. And this is where we used to nap in the morning while Zac napped. She never slept long enough for me to get a good rest, so naps have pretty much stopped for this Mama. I never napped with Zac when he was tiny, but 2 kids wear me right out!
I laughed one day when I got Zac up from his nap. He always throws all of his blankets and stuffed animals out and the changing table pad. This time though, I walked in to see his pants on the floor. Sometimes, he pulls a sock or both off, but not his pants or shirt.
He had managed to get one sock and his pants off and one arm out of his sleeve.
“What are you standing there for? Help me get these clothes on!”
This was after his nap after he had friends over.
“You mean they aren’t still here to play?!”
I have to add this story to the blog, since I don’t think I ever did. One day I laid him down for his nap and heard a terrified/hurt scream so I ran upstairs to check on him. I had laid him down without pants on and found that he had pulled his diaper off and was standing up peeing through the side of the crib onto the floor. It must have scared him and he started screaming. I was laughing so hard! I don’t know if he was scared that he knew he wasn’t supposed to take his diaper off or what. He’s peed on the floor before his bath without his diaper on, so I don’t think that’s what scared him. It sure was funny!
