Mary and Joseph did a lot of traveling all month to get to Bethlehem. Here's how it went around our home. I got the idea HERE.
"If you have a nativity scene, set it all up except for Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. Just hide Jesus away and then place Mary and Joseph far far away in another part of the house. Each morning, place Mary and Joseph a little closer to Bethlehem…er, your manger scene. By Christmas Eve, they can set up in the stable and on Christmas Day, place Jesus in the center!"
December 1st, they started their journey in the furthest room from "Bethlehem" - the downstairs bathroom.
Bethlehem
Checking out their new nativity.
Zac and Lucy loved finding them each day.
December 23rd, they made it to the Christmas tree. Almost to Bethlehem!
Christmas Eve! They made it! Lucy's favorite thing all month have been Mary and Baby Jesus. I kept overhearing her playing with toys saying that they were Mary and Baby Jesus. She was so excited to be able to play with Mary and Joseph on Christmas Eve.
We were so excited Baby Jesus was here this morning! Because He came as a baby, we have the choice to accept His gift. Eternal life, free from hurt, suffering, and tears. This is the best gift we will ever be given. Have you accepted the gift from Jesus? Or, are you working to give Him gifts hoping that He thinks you have been good enough to receive a gift? His gift is free. He wants you to take it. He loves you just the way you are.
Merry Christmas!
