I always hear people saying that kids get more and more fun as they grow up. I’m finding that to be true. Every age is so much fun, but Zac keeps getting more and more fun. I feel like he just had his 1st birthday and now it’s 3 months later! The last couple months have flown by. And our little dude has learned so much!
He is the most easy going guy. He’s content doing whatever we do, wherever we are. He’s usually pretty quiet when we go new places or meet new people. He likes to just check out his surroundings and get used to things.
He’s also super silly! At home he walks around doing his own thing and will suddenly stop and look at us with his big huge open mouth smile and yell “AH!” Then go back to what he was doing. It makes us laugh every time.
He is very independent. He plays so well by himself, always has.
He jabbers constantly. He’s learning more and more words and is starting to repeat us. It’s mostly just making noises back at us that sound similar. His most recent words are “cackaz” (crackers), “bapa” (grandpa), and “kicka” (chicken).
He signs when he wants “more” and when he’s “all done”. He also says “nananana” (banana) which means “more” or that he’s hungry, basically feed me. And he says “ah nun” (all done).
He says “ew” and “yuck”. It’s hilarious. He says “ew” if he hears a fart or burp. And knows the difference between the real thing and a fake one. If we tell him not to touch something he often says “yuck!” He obviously tried to touch something that I replied “yuck”. He picked that up and it stuck.
He says “ah yu you” (I love you). It’s my favorite! When I put him to bed I say “I love you” as I leave the room and he says it back. We repeat this as I walk all the way downstairs. It’s the best!
He knows quite a few animal sounds. Our favorites are the elephant, rhinoceros, and monkey.
He’s so easy to take out and about. Whenever we are at the doctor, he is always told how easy he is to give an exam, because he just sits there and lets them do their thing. And he was always good going with to my appointments. And we love taking him with us to the grocery store. He just loves checking out new places. That has been a blessing for sure.
He’s a big helper. Yesterday, we got home from running errands and I changed his diaper and sat it down. I got Lucy out of her car seat and followed Zac into the kitchen. He had grabbed his diaper and took it to the garbage on his own. Awesome!
He knows how to use a spoon. It’s just so messy that I usually help him. How will he ever learn, right? ha
He’s a good listener. He doesn’t like to make anyone mad or feel bad. He knows he’s not supposed to climb the stairs. His favorite spot is the bottom step on the stairs. He loves to just sit there and never tries to climb the stairs.
He’s still a cuddler! Nothing beats cuddling your babies. And even though he’s getting big, he still likes to cuddle and gives the best tight hugs after his naps. I love this boy!
Zac’s 15 month stats are… Height 32 1/4 (75-85th %), Weight 25 lbs. 12 oz. (65-75 %), Head 49.5 cm (90th %).
Taking Sissy’s diaper to the garbage.
He loves his puppy, Scout. This guy goes all over the house with him.
