Here I am again, almost a month later trying to update and remember what happened last month and what happened this month. At least I have the pictures and videos to tell the story and refresh my memory.
This little guys is such a silly boy! He’s not the biggest fan of the sippy cup yet. We tried a new one with a softer nipple that is easier for him to suck, which usually he just bites it and gets surprised when a little juice or water comes out. This day he was being silly and not even trying to lift it to his face. And sometimes not even using his hands at all to play.
We see a lot of this. He’s getting pretty mobile, but not completely coordinated yet. He often ends up toppled over a pile of toys. He is total boy. His play area always look like a tornado came through. He pulls them out of the basket and throws them all over. He likes to have two toys in his hands to bang them together. With the big toys, he’s always flipping them upside down and checking them out from every angle trying to see how they work.
There is no more just sitting on the couch. He’s climbing all over us trying to get to the remote or our phones.
It’s very rare and very funny to see him just laying down all worn out and completely exhausted.
He refuses to hold his own bottle. I keep saying I need to start making him do it on his own, but I also just love the cuddles I get when I feed him. Sometimes he’ll start out holding it, but it only lasts a few seconds.
I was cracking up when I found him sleeping crazy during his nap. He likes to play before he finally falls asleep, so I go up to make sure he is covered up. He insists on sleeping with his head and feet across the crib the short length. He just doesn’t fit that way anymore, but if he puts himself to sleep he’s usually got his feet dangling out of the crib or propped up like this picture shows. I think its funny his sock is under his head. And I love how he loves to cuddle his blankeys even if they aren’t covering him, just like his Mama.
Playing and wrestling with Dad in the evening.
A quick pic one day while Dad came home to see us just before we went to play with Janna in Orem.
He loves to play with this pole. It’s part of his bouncer. He tries to pull himself up on it all day. Sometimes he just sits by it and ends up wrapped around it. It’s his favorite spot.
Laughing at Mom blowing in his face.
He hated the Chicken Noodle Dinner I gave him one night. He kept gagging, but was so polite that he just kept taking more bites. I’m sure it was the chunks that he wasn’t so sure of.
Zac loves making coffee with Dad. He cracks up when they count the scoops of coffee from the can to the coffee pot. He doesn’t laugh like this if he just counts the scoops and puts it back into the can. Only when it goes into the coffee pot. Dad got extra strong coffee the next morning.
Nobody can make Zac laugh as hard as his Daddy can. Here they are playing his new baseball game.
Zac can wave! He heard thunder for the first time, so I took him outside to check it out. He was looking around trying to figure out what the noise was. Of course it stopped thundering as soon as we opened the door, but we got to watch the hail storm for a minute and he had fun waving to it.
He learned to clap a week after he mastered waving. Also, he can give fives and can sign “more” when he wants more snacks. Sometimes he gets them all confused and just watches what his hands are doing trying to remember what he was doing.
We have a crawler! He finally figured out how to go forward. It only took once and he had it all figured out!
