I better finish my pregnancy story, since this little guy will be here tomorrow!
After my day in labor and delivery stopping labor at 34 1/2 weeks, I enjoyed my weekend with my last baby shower and my high school reunion. At my next doctor’s appointment the following Monday, I ended up back in labor and delivery, this time to monitor my blood pressure. It came down a little bit and I was sent home. Now on top of the Gestational Diabetes, I have Mild Preeclampsia. Since then I’ve been on bed rest. I’ve been laying around for 3 weeks now and can’t wait to be able to move around and get out of the house, besides just to go to the doctor twice a week. I miss going to church. I miss my friends at work. I miss just getting in the car to go to the store. Luke has been great keeping the house clean and making dinner every night. It’s been great! My mom and sister came and helped get organized and cleaned up. I appreciate it so much! We are ready!
I’ve been going to the doctor twice a week to monitor my blood pressure and the baby’s heart rate. Zac looks perfect every time! My blood pressure gets higher each time. My contractions are always regular. There has only been one time that I didn’t have any on the monitor. They always ask if I have had headaches, which I haven’t until this past week. I went to Smith’s to check it a few days ago and it was high enough that we headed back to labor and delivery. All the labs came back normal, baby looked perfect, and it slowly came down. We got sent home again. Since my blood pressure keeps going up, we will be induced tomorrow to prevent any problems! I will be 38 weeks. We are so excited! I started to feel anxious for the first time last night. Not even nervous to have the baby, but just nervous about not knowing what to expect over the next few weeks. And more being worried that I’m going to get irritated and snap at someone. Silly, I know! After saying a prayer, I felt much better. I trust that it will be a wonderful experience and we are about to witness a little miracle TOMORROW! 36 Weeks
