New Mexico Open

At the last minute, me and Zac went to Albequerque, NM with Luke while he played the New Mexico Open.  I had some major anxiety about Luke leaving, so at the last minute Luke said I should go.  He would be too worried about me while he was gone.  Holy spoiled little mama.  I caused a lot of drama with my anxiety, but it ended up being a great trip.  I’m so thankful we got to go.

We stopped in Price at the golf course to feed Zac and Luke got to practice for a bit.

Zac’s bed for the night in Cortez, CO.. We stayed at Luke’s friends’ Wil and Shelly Collins’ house.  They had a trail behind their house that me and Zac walked on a couple times.As we started walking, this lady told us to “make it to the second “bridge”… if you have the strength”.  I was totally up to the challenge!  I was excited to make it to the end expecting a nice view or something cool.  Well, after a hot, uphill walk, this was the second “bridge”.  A gate to a field of sagebrush.  What a disappointment. Even Zac thought it was a disappointment.   Zac got his first big scratch.  Of course, it was the night after I said he needed his nails trimmed.  Poor little face!

Oh, the hairline! He like to stare at his links and when he’d get a hold of them, he couldn’t figure out how to let go.  Getting chunky! So sweet! Stopped on the way home to feed and change Zac. Zac is the best little traveler!  He was only 6 weeks old on this trip.  He was so good all the way there and all the way back.  We only had to stop when he was hungry and we took advantage and made some great stops.  It was so much fun with our little buddy!   We took out the extra padding from his car seat.  He’s getting so big! 

On our way home we stopped at Mesa Verde.  What an awesome place!    

Tiny toes!                                                                 We stayed in Cortez, CO again on the way back.  Then, we went to Deadhorse Point on our way home.  This was my favorite!  It was so much better than I expected it to be.  It was beautiful.  I think I liked this better than the Grand Canyon.  It was amazing!                   We had the best time on our trip!  We’re so glad we were able to go.
