Playing peekaboo.IMG_3026IMG_3028

Sometimes she thinks her eyes are on her head.IMG_3029

Here she is playing peekaboo.  I love the face she pulls at the beginning, where she is trying not to smile when I ask her to play peekaboo.  And then at the end you see that she calls any vehicle driving by a bus.  She definitely knows what a bus is, because so many go right by our house and there is a stop just out our window.

Gorgeous.IMG_3030

She always has dainty fingers.  She will carry anything around as if it is her blanket.IMG_3031

So proud of herself for getting her arm out of her sleeve.  She isn’t sure about wearing long sleeves after being sleeveless all summer.SANY0063

This girl loves her babies.  And her stroller.  She gets so excited pushing her stroller as fast as she can.SANY0064

School Days–“Dd” Dad Stickers

We made a sign for Dad and I let Zac stick stickers on it.  I was going to have him color on it too, but saw the challenge that it was for him to stick the stickers and left it at that.  He had to work hard to get the sticky stickers off of his fingers and onto the paper.  It was fun to see him focus so hard and tell me what letter he wanted the sticker on.

He’s also very into matching right now.  He always points out when there are two of the same letter in a word or on a page.SANY0045SANY0047SANY0048SANY0049SANY0050SANY0051

HELP!SANY0056

We hung the sign and left it up for awhile.  He was very proud of it.   He would point to it saying “Dad.  Heart.” SANY0059SANY0061

Sea World Day at Dad’s Work

It was the annual Sea World Day at Luke’s work, so Grandma Shelley came and took us to the show.  They bring in a few animals and talk about how they rescue all kinds of animals.  Last year it seemed like they had more animals and we were able to see more of them up close.  It was fun to get out and see Luke at work.SANY0035-001

School Days–”Dd” Digging Dirt

We went on a little field trip to see the tractors Digging Dirt around the block.

I had to make a quick stop at the fire station first.  One of our smoke alarms started beeping to warn me that the batteries are dead.  I changed the battery and it kept beeping.  Two others have done this since we moved in and we replaced them.  I wanted to figure out why they do this!  So, I stopped and asked the friendly fireman.  He said to change it.  Could be bad or old.  And he said that all the smoke alarms in your home should be the same brand.

Then, I asked if Zac could see the fire trucks.  The pictures are bad, but you can see that it was pretty scary being that close to the real deal.  They are much bigger close up.SANY0022SANY0023

He was much happier looking from a distance.SANY0025

They could have watched the tractors Digging Dirt all day if I had let them.SANY0027SANY0031SANY0032

Softball

We loved going to Luke’s softball games!  You can see that we spend most of our time away from the game.  Well, the kids do.  Grandma and Grandpa are usually there to play with the kids and I try to watch the game.  They love the playground and just running around.IMG_3037

School Days–“Dd” Dirt

We had lots of fun making a “Dd” with Dirt.  Zac loves when we get to use glue.  And he loves dirt.IMG_3006

First we covered the “Dd” with glue.IMG_3007

Then, poured on the dirt.  And shook it off and let it dry.IMG_3009

He loves showing me letters everywhere.IMG_3012IMG_3013IMG_3014IMG_3017

We also added his name in dirt for fun.IMG_3018

Silver Lake

We got to join Grandma Shelley and Avrie at Silver Lake.  I’m so glad we did!  The leaves were so bright!  It was the perfect weekend to go.  I’m glad we didn’t miss it!  It was raining when we first got there a little bit.  We had a quick picnic, then waited for the rain to clear up and started our hike.IMG_2921IMG_2922-001

These two love reading all of the signs.IMG_2923IMG_2925IMG_2926-001

Avrie posed all along the trail.IMG_2927-001IMG_2930IMG_2932

Dad waited in the car for a bit, while Zac slept.  Then he got out his fishing pole and we met them to fish.IMG_2935IMG_2938IMG_2939IMG_2942

I love this silly goose!IMG_2946IMG_2947IMG_2952-001IMG_2956IMG_2957IMG_2958IMG_2962

Some kids had caught a bunch of these caterpillars and gave one to Avrie (who then passed it to another kid).  IMG_2964IMG_2965IMG_2966IMG_2968IMG_2969IMG_2970IMG_2971IMG_2973
